This popup is for the security for receiving email – the override button does not stay checked but it does change from 100 to 995 all by itself when “This POP service requires a secure connection (SSL)”
Third setup screen Tools > Accounts
This popup controls the smtp server security settings and these match the ones from outlook when we finally got it working…
Fourth setup screen Tools > Accounts
I am pretty sure there is nothing on this config screen interfering with the connection to the server….

This is just email encryption not ssl – so I dont think this is interfering with the login to the server either…
